VSP Work Plan Approved

On April 30, 2018, the State of Washington approved the Douglas County Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) Work Plan. VSP is an agriculturally friendly approach to protect critical areas like wetlands, and fish and wildlife habitat.

Cooperative Weed Management 

The Foster Creek Conservation District (FCCD) is launching a new program to establish a Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) for Douglas County. The goal of this program is to improve invasive weed species management county-wide.

We are excited to announce our Direct Seed cost-share program is open. The program aims to address some of the county-wide water quality and soil erosion issues by providing cost share to producers who are converting from conventional tillage to direct seed systems.

This past spring, Foster Creek CD was out at several community events to spread the word about natural resource stewardship.

Stream Monitoring

A flowing stream is a welcome sight this summer and fall for the Foster Creek Conservation District and its Environmental Monitoring Program.

USDA FSA Tree Assistance Program

TAP provides disaster assistance to eligible orchardists and nursery tree growers to replant or rehabilitate trees, bushes, and vines that were lost because of an eligible natural disaster.
