Post Fire Assessments help with future  management decisions

Foster Creek CD has money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help complete site evaluations of post-fire conditions to help identify areas that would benefit from weed mitigation and/or supplemental native species re-seeding. If you live in the Grass Valley fire area, Foster Creek CD staff are happy to meet with you on your property to make a post-fire assessment and provide recommendations. FCCD staff will create an individual site plan for you, designed to help you support rangeland livestock forage and benefit wildlife habitat across the landscape, while also decreasing the impacts of fire on your property.
Contact FCCD today by emailing info@fostercreekcd.org or calling (509) 888-6372 to learn more about this opportunity and how Foster Creek staff can help!

Do you want to help lead our conservation district work?

Foster Creek CD is pleased to announce an opportunity is available for you to serve on our five-member Board of Supervisors.

  • Conservation district board supervisors are public officials who set policy and direction for a district.
  • Members serve without compensation but are reimbursed for related expenses.
  • Applicants do not have to live within the district to apply but must be registered to vote in Washington State and may be required to own land or operate a farm.
